Son of a mother of ….

So, what, a few days ago now I mentioned swine flu being all over the place, right? Come to find out, my father has it. I am staying with them right now, and so yeah…that’s even worse. I walked into the house this morning after a meeting for work and my mom was there for lunch, on the phone talking with my brother.  She looked at me and said, Your dad has H1N1 and then laughed.  I assume she laughed at the expression on my face, but since she was laughing, I was not sure if she was being serious or not.

Apparently, she was. So, at that point I am like, wtf as my dad comes walking around the corner. I am like, get the hell back and into your room and lock the door. People are dying from that you know. His response? Only young people like you.  Lovely! That is not even the truth. I know for a fact people his age are dying from it, but will he or my mother listen to me? Of course not.

To make matters worse, I have not been feeling 100% lately either. So now, of course, I am all like, shit, what if I have it too? I am fortunate enough to have health insurance, so I will make my way to the doctor if I start feeling worse. Maybe I should go before then…

Sigh. Just plain awesome.
